About Courtney

A native of Sugar Land, Courtney Rosen Kovach graduated law school from South Texas College of Law and immediately went to work at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office as a prosecutor, following internships with KPRC local news and Bickham Law. Between her time in the Harris County DA’s Office and the Fort Bend County DA’s Office, Courtney has served as a Misdemeanor Chief and practiced in the Felony, Domestic Violence, Juvenile, and Grand Jury Divisions. During her eight years as a prosecutor, Courtney evaluated hundreds of criminal cases, conducted jury trials on four murders and several other jury trials including charges for arson, aggravated assault, aggravated robbery, intoxicated manslaughter, theft, and driving while intoxicated. In total, Courtney tried, as first chair. Courtney has now joined the family’s law firm of Rosen & Kovach, PLLC as a defense attorney, following in the footsteps of her father, Steven Rocket Rosen, a renowned criminal defense attorney. Courtney and her husband, John, live in Richmond with their three sons. The couple are also small business owners in Richmond while they maintain their law practice. Courtney is an accomplished athlete having played D1 Softball at her alma mater, Florida State University. She and her family attend Parkway Fellowship where Courtney is a Sunday school teacher.
